Latest Available Database List
Download the file NEWAVLDB.EXE to your c:\fstsrch4 folder. Using Windows
Explorer, run the executable file to create a newavldb.txt file. From the
FirstSearch Main Menu select: tools; update available databases. Select the
newavldb.txt file. This will update the list of available databases on your
machine.

Obtaining the Latest Printer Drivers and Video Drivers
When experiencing problems with printing FirstSearch reports, a possible
solution may be to upgrade your printer drivers. DOWNLOAD.COM contains printer
drivers for most printers. If unable to find your printer's drivers there, you
can try your printer manufacturer's Web site.
Several clients have experienced problems printing maps from a PC with various
ATI 3D Rage video drivers. These drivers can be found on DOWNLOAD.COM or
http://support.atitech.ca/drivers/index.html
Technical Specifications
Environmental FirstSearch resides on a host computer running the sco UNIX
operating system and Oracle database manager in Dedham, MA. Communication
servers utilize 33,600 baud modems for direct connections and T1 lines for
internet connections to control the flow of data as requests are received and
reports/maps transmitted. Workstation software is proprietary and must use
Windows 95/98 or NT. Reports and maps can be printed either black & white
or in color. There are no workstation licensing restrictions with regard to
number of users or number of workstations using the software. Specific account
names and passwords are assigned based on corporate location and volume of
usage. The host computer is available for access 24 hours a day, seven days a
week.
In order for you to run Environmental FirstSearch on your system, you must meet
the requirements listed below. If your system does not meet these requirements,
Environmental FirstSearch may not run correctly.
